I've been hoping that I would have a new wait list number to share with you this week. Last I heard, the assignment committee met at the end of March. Since families that receive referrals have two weeks to accept them (and then the wait list is updated), I thought that this would be the week that I would hear a new wait list number. I have not received any news yet. The week is not over yet, of course, and I am starting to wonder if there is an adoption equivalent for "a watched pot never boils." A watched wait list never....(what could I say here?) A watched computer screen never....(what?).
Trust Him. Just trust Him, I remind myself. Trust Him and live in the moment. Ok, I'm going to go sort laundry. And while I'm doing that, I am going to thank my dear Father for my wonderful family and all the many graces he has showered on me. They are too numerous to count, but I am going to try anyway.
